OMG! more than a weeks notice <shock>

Time for that (sort of) monthly meetup!

The Solid Rock Cafe has proven quite popular recently, so let's try that again - it's owned by the same folk as our usual haunt, Rufus T, but busier with a more classic metal/rock vibe to it. It's also easier to find, just go out the downstairs exit in Glasgow Central Station and it's at the crossroads! We'll do our best to grab some form of booth, otherwise look for us around the bar (we'll e-mail around closer to the time so you know who to find).

Next, that good old GGM favourite, Bedlam - Glasgow's best Goth night, with an ever-popular mix of classic goth-rock, EBM and industrial. Held the last Saturday of every month at Glasgow University QMU, Bedlam never disappoints with its mix of great music, great crowds, and, of course, student prices ... there's no dress code, other than "be daring"! It's about £4 at the door, and we normally get a taxi or the underground over there, so allow about £2 once fares are split.

Unfortunately we've had a lot of no-shows recently, with us not sure whether we're missing someone ... so I'd ask that, as always, please let us know if your plans change or if you can't find us (I'll e-mail out a number closer to the time). We hate to think that we're leaving anyone behind, but if you're new and we don't recognise you then it's very difficult to try and guess whether you've decided to give it a miss or not!

Don't hesitate with any questions ... otherwise, see you then!

We have set Wednesday as the evening for Alice in Wonderland 3D, mostly for those on Orange lol but I have an early finish at 2. 6pm on Wednesday the 10th of March. If the time/date is REALLY a big issue then let us know asap and we might be able to change it Meetup in Rufus around 5ish? go see the film at 6, back to the pub for a pint and some criticism / praise. Even if you'd rather not go to the film, why not contact me now and we can catch up with you in the pub?

From Walt Disney Pictures and visionary director Tim Burton comes an epic 3D fantasy adventure "Alice in Wonderland," a magical and imaginative twist on some of the most beloved stories of all time. Now, 19, Alice returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl and embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror. Capturing the wonder of Lewis Carroll's beloved "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (1865) and "Through the Looking-Glass" (1871), the film features stunning, avant-garde visuals and the most charismatic characters in literary history.
